Description
This head from a sculpture is of a priest, made in the 2nd-3rd century. It is believed that statuary once decorated the outside walls of the library, as the tops of the columns are flat. Whether or not this is an ideal portrait of a priest or an individual is unknown. It is also unknown if this statue had been in the library.
