Description

Seven photographs.

The oculus was designed with the oculus in the Pantheon as an inspiration. During the 1970s, false ceilings were installed to save energy, thereby covering the oculus. During a 1998 renovation, the false ceilings were removed, and the oculus was taken down, cleaned, repaired, and reinstalled.

The first three photographs are looking at the oculus. The third photograph is from the second floor balcony.

The last four photographs are details of the design around the oculus.
