Facade of the library, close-up of two columns

The reconstructed marble façade of the library uses Corinthian columns. These columns also serve as decorations to frame the doors, windows, and statuary. These veined marble columns have Corinthian capitals but are unfluted. Columns may have framed the bookcases inside the library. There may also have been columns used in the apse where the statue stood.
